Newman's Own on NYSD ...
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward at the Autism Speaks theatre gala in Westport.
Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization founded by Bob and Suzanne Wright, held the Autism Speaks theatre gala at Westport Country Playhouse’s production of “A Christmas Carol” last Thursday.

The gala was co-chaired by the Wrights, along with Laurie Lister and Judd Burstein. Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman served as the honorary chairs. The evening's festivities, which included a live auction, raised more than $500,000 to support the work of Autism Speaks.

Two Sundays ago, down deep in the heart of Texas, in Houston, Jill and Michael Bertuccio, Jennifer and Doug Bosch, Greggory and Pat Burk, Vivienne and Christian Escudie, Carolyn Farb, Isabelle Hallier, Brede Klefos, Eileen Kase Lawal, Ericka and Mike McClure, Ingrid and Bobby Moody Jr., Vanessa and Perry Sendukas, Laura and John Spalding (you still with me?), Kathryn and Jeff Smith, Lacy Taylor and Emily Neuhoff Vanhouton ... gave a party. Oh, and Smith & Wollensky – let’s not forget the menu makers – co-hosted the festive evening of cocktails, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres along with an “All Star” Silent Auction of jewels and autographed sports memorabilia and entertainment. Something for everyone, Texas style.  And they raised money to boot, if you’ll pardon the pun, to benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s programs worldwide, supporting orphans and children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
