The Angel Ball
is the creation of the Grammy-nominated songwriter and philanthropist
Denise Rich in loving memory of her daughter Gabriella, to
raise funds for the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research. This
year will be their fourth annual Angel Ball, to be held November
14th at the Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway between 45th and 46th
Streets).
This is a fantastic party. The ball has the imprimatur of Mrs. Rich who
draws a large and glittery crowd of guests for the star-studded lineup
of entertainment which this year will include Natalie Cole, Stevie
Wonder, and Chaka Khan. Legendary singer/songwriter Patti
LaBelle, Russell Simmons, Chairman and CEO of Rush Communications, Kimora
Lee Simmons, Creative Director, Baby Phat and Glamour Magazine
Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive will be recognized at the
gala for their outstanding contributions as humanitarians and philanthropic
leaders.
Joy Behar, Lorraine Bracco, Rita Cosby, Jamie-Lynn
DiScala, Fran Drescher, Star Jones Reynolds, Felicia Taylor, and Montel
Williams, have been announced as Segment Hosts.

Attending were
a great “collection” of New York socialites,
interior designers and art connoisseurs including Leonard
and Evelyn Lauder, Hilary Geary and Wilbur Ross, Barry and Karen
Kieselstein-Cord,
Patrick Murphy (who is running for City Council), Mark
Gilbertson, Linda Silverman, Fran Scaife, Mrs. Robert Gardiner, Louise
Noyes,
Jim Corl, Karen Clark, Susan Zises Green, who is one of
the Designer Committee exhibitors along with Bruce Bierman and
Penny Drue Baird.
It was more than a bit of reunion for many of the Palm Beachers who
divide their time between New York and PB. The Fair which draws the
world’s top exhibitors and collectors will open with a Vernissage
on February 2, co-chaired by Pauline Pitt and Tom
Quick. The Fair
will run through February 12, 2006.

A few nights ago over at Doubles, they held the 30th
annual Ghosties
and Goodies kiddy party. Wendy Carduner filled
her chic club in the Sherry Netherland with jack o’ lanterns, witches on
brooms, bats, skeletons, cobwebs complete with big scary spiders and black balloons
everywhere. The event was for over 200 children under eight and their families,
and it has been such an annual fun-fest in the paste that this year there was
literally a waiting list of 125 yummy mummys.
