| This past Thursday, October 18, 2012, The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) hosted the 24th Annual Preview Party for The International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show at The Park Avenue Armor. The glamorous event was Co-Chaired by Mary Davidson, Pamela Fiori, Jamee Gregory, Eleanora Kennedy and Kamie Lightburn with Associate Chairmen Allison Aston & Sloan Overstrom. The Celebratory Chairman was Sigourney Weaver and the Connoisseur Chairman was Shafik Gabr. The event was generously sponsored by Architectural Digest and V&M / Vintage and Modern. |
 |
Allison Aston, Jamee Gregory, Sigourney Weaver, Eleanora Kennedy, Anna Haughton, Charlotte Moss, Dr. Annette Rickel, Kamie Lightburn, Pamela Fiori, Mary Davidson, and Sloan Overstrom |
In support of The Society were the evening’s prestigious Design Committee Co-Chairman, Architectural Digest Editor-in-Chief Margaret Russell and designer Charlotte Moss, who transformed The Glorious Food Café into an elegant French garden parterre. A glittering crowd of over 1,200 guests and leaders from the art, design and fashion worlds mingled amongst the sensational art and antiques, and stunning jewelry. This important show, organized by Anna and Brian Haughton, features many of the world’s most influential art and antique dealers in the U.S. and Europe.
With such tremendous turnout, the event co-chairs are thrilled to announce that over one million dollars was raised, with 100% of proceeds benefiting The Society’s programs at MSKCC. The Society has had the good fortune to be the beneficiary of the Preview Party since 1989. These critical funds will support The Society’s mission to promote the well being of patients, support cancer research, and provide public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer, and will ensure that The Society continues to provide patients and their families with the comfort and caring that makes such a difference while they are at MSKCC. |
