Fitch's Corner, the horse farm of Fernanda Kellogg and Kirk Henckels in Millbrook, New York was the happening spot for horse and and glam country life. The United States Eventing Northeast Regional Eventing Championships were held along with a weekend of social activities.
300 horses came to compete for the Tiffany & Co. prizes including selections from the Lambertson Truex-designed leather collection. Top names winning ribbons were the former members of the the USA Olympic Team, father Bruce Davidson and son, Buck Davidson. |

| On Saturday night at the Blue Jean Ball, the showgrounds were transformed into an Olympic Village by social chairman, Jane Hottensen. There were Irish clog dancers in their Hunter boots, DJ Flo who came from New York City to spins the tunes and 600 friends and competitors who danced the night away. |

| This past Saturday at the Two Trees Farm in Bridgehampton, the Bridgehampton Polo Club held its Opening Day. International Polo Star and Ralph Lauren Model Nacho Figueras (New Club Partner) and co-founder and owner Peter Brant were joined by guests including Kelly Bensimon, Beth Ostrosky Stern, Veronica Webb and Chris Del Gatto, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Klein, Gabby Karan, Fern Mallis, Sandy Gallin, Sue Devitt, Alina Cho, Samantha Yanks, Valerie Salembier, Jackie Swerz and Marco Mattiacci, President and CEO of Ferrari North America which headlined the Opening Day Sponsors. | Retiring the horses |
Town and Country Publisher Valerie Salembier conducted the coin toss, and songstress Nancy Atlas sang the National Anthem before the players took to the field. The recent heavy rains inhibited Peter Brant’s White Birch team from competing against Chris Del Gatto’s CIRCA, but the well-watered fields didn’t stop the teams from mounting their horses and riding for an abridged mini-match.
The season runs for six consecutive Saturdays through August 25th. |
