Terrie Sultan on stage with various Founding Partners of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton to celebrate the 2011 Midsummer Party gala. |
| Last Saturday night at the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, they held their annual benefit, the 2011 Midsummer Party gala. Considered one of the cultural events of the summer in the Hamptons, they began with cocktails and a private viewing of Dorothea Rockburne: In My Mind’s Eye – the first ever retrospective of the artist. Guests were seated for dinner at about 7:45. They honored the Parrish’s Founding Partners who have been so generous in supporting the life and vision of the Parrish and the development of its new Herzog & de Meuron-designed building which will open in the summer of 2012. |

| The Skin Cancer Foundation’s second annual A Night the Stars Shine On brought New York’s social and philanthropic worlds together for a special evening of music, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Central Park Zoo on Tuesday June 28. Notable guests included Extra TV host and skin cancer survivor Jerry Penacoli, Project Runway past-contestants Kevin Christiana (season 4), Stephen “Suede” Baum (season 5) and Casanova (season 8). Proceeds from the event will benefit The Skin Cancer Foundation and its research initiatives. Guests were treated to a special performance by the Central Park sea lions, as well as visits to the Rainforest Exhibit and the Penguin House. The evening offered a unique opportunity to socialize and network at one of New York City’s most charming landmark venues. |
