Tuesday night at the Gansevoort Park Avenue, Cinema Society hosted a screening of "The Romantics." A big draw for big names. Katie Holmes, one of the film's stars, was there with her husband, the Big Star, Tom Cruise. Also on hand were Leighton Meester and Josh Duhamel and Elijah Wood. Hoda Kolb, Marisa Berenson. Even Debbie Bancroft, back in town from her long hot Southampton summer was there. Romantic was the mood. People, StyleWatch, Svedka vodka, and J. Crew co-hosted. Even they were feeling romantic.

You Had To Be There: Wednesday night Viktor and Rolf (Horsting and Snoeren respectively) were in town at just the right moment for a rare visit to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their fragrance Flowerbomb. The party was held in the West Village at a private townhouse aswarm with floral festooning. Allison Goldfrapp sang like ... Lady Gaga? ... and did a Marilyn Monroe version of Happy Birthday Mr. President, this time to Flowerbomb. Happy Birthday to Yewwwwwww.

Also on Wednesday Minnie Mortimer had her Spring 2011 Presentation at 1Oak. Minnie is the sister of Topper and sister-in-law of Tinsley, and sister of Peter Davis, and wife of Steve Gaghan. Those Mortimers are out there. She designs for her world, a very contemporary world of a certain flavor; romantic, casual, bright and lively. Promising and ambitious. New York.
