| Robert Wilson’s vision of The Watermill Center is really a wonder. What was once a derelict piece of post-industrial real estate in the woods south of the highway in Watermill is now, many years in the making, a splendid museum/cultural center that commands the landscape, enchants the eye and stimulates the senses. Mr. Wilson’s ability to raise funds for his project is legendary, almost to the point where many have regarded it as his ultimate talent. However, the result is artistry that is a crowning achievement, and never ceases to amaze. |

| On Saturday, August 14th Caitlin and John Tashjian hosted the fourth annual “Hamptons Hoedown” at their home in East Hampton to celebrate John’s 40th birthday. Guests sported their best western duds and rode dueling mechanical bulls, played beer pong, and enjoyed a bull-shaped ice luge under tent decorated with red, white and blue lanterns. The hotly-contested annual “bull riding championship” was won by Danelle Vance, who took the Hoedown Trophy with her back to Los Angeles. Guests dined on a hoedown menu featuring corn dogs, pulled pork barbecue and ribs, all prepared by barbecue-master, Rich Chinitz. After dinner, Caitlin presented John with a DJ turntable-shaped birthday cake. After blowing out the candles, John took his place behind two real turntables and spun tunes as guests danced the night away. |
