| More than 33,000 music lovers turned out in Central Park Monday night for a performance of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Yu Long, and internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang and the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Andrey Boreyko. Angela Chen, director of the China Arts Foundation, arranged a small informal reception before the concert that included Geoffrey Bradfield, author Ron Chernow, Theodore Forstmann, Hank Greenberg, William Haseltine, Padma Lakshmi, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rubin and designer Zang Toi. The performance celebrated the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and the partnership of the two cities. The China Arts Foundation (CAF) is a non-profit organization that supports art performances and cultural events that involve Sino-International relations and exchanges. |

| "Oceana has been asking for a moratorium on oil leases off the coast for years and years for this reason. The real lesson is that the people who are supposed to take care of us have not been doing that. It's time for us to take care," he added. |
